Seattle Motorcycle Officer John Abraham retires after amazing 30 year career
He retired after a quarter century working as a traffic cop, and more than 30 years in law enforcement. Officer Abraham has spent countless hours helping Special Olympics Washington, and riding in parades as part of SPD’s Motorcycle Drill Team.
He took his final ride with the team at Ballard’s Norwegian Constitution Day Parade.
Officer Abraham started “The Help The Officer Fund” which makes funds available for officers and their family if they are in need, due to illness or injury on or off the job. It has also assisted other First Responders in need. In light of his retirement, it’s been renamed the John Abraham Help the Officer Memorial Fund.
While he is retiring from law enforcement, he’s not giving up working. He and his wife are taking some vacation time before his makes his final plans for his next career.
Officer Abraham has been a tireless supporter of Washington’s Most Wanted. On behalf of everyone, thank you for your service!
